Wellbeing Worker

We are recruiting for a  Wellbeing Worker to join our Leeds Sensory Services to provide high quality support to our service users who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Visually Impaired, Deafblind, and 16+ and live within the area of Leeds.

As part of the role you will:

  • Be offering information, advice, and guidance on a range of topics using appropriate communication methods
  • Provide service user information about specialist equipment and providing low level HI Equipment under the guidance of the Equipment Worker
  • Dealing with referrals accurately
  • Promoting independent living by advising and signposting to services
  • Undertaking strengths-based assessments, support plans and Risk Assessments with service users
  • Working with third party agencies and sub-contracted partners

To be successful for this post:

  • You will be able to communicate at British Sign Language Level 3 or native signer
  • You will have experience in Working with people with a sensory disabilities (Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deafblind)
  • You will have experience in undertaking needs-led assessments
  • You will have experience in providing Information, Advice and Guidance
  • You will have strong IT skills
