Chance to Meet Lincolnshire

We provide a friendly, accessible environment where children who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have a sight impairment, including those with additional needs, and their families can come together with peers to enjoy a range of fully accessible activities which support their personal, social and educational development.

Many of our activities are open to the whole family, enabling families to spend quality time together doing activities that are suitable for everyone. We have different activities taking place all year round from Christmas parties, visits to local farms and activity play centres to bowling sessions and sports activities.

Parent Support Events with LDCS

We also run local events in conjunction with Lincoln Deaf Children’s Society (LDCS) part of the NDCS – National Deaf Children’s Society. These events give parents and carers an opportunity to discuss topics relating to their child’s health, education and social care support within Lincolnshire.

Lincoln Deaf Children’s Society is a group for local parents, carers and families who have a d/Deaf child. LDCS is run by parents and volunteers. Meetings are on the last Saturday of each month from 12:30pm – 14:30pm at Birchwood Sure Start Children’s Centre.

LDCS support families with children who have hearing impairments of any kind. They also welcome families with visually impaired children and families with children who have sensory and additional needs from birth onwards.
